Chocolate Hazelnut Spread

Ingredients

  • 160 g hazelnuts
  • 1/4 cup raw cacao
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp rice bran syrup or honey
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180oC and place the hazelnuts in a single layer on an oven tray
  • Bake the hazelnuts for around 10 minutes until the skins become loose and papery.
  • Tip the hazelnuts into a clean tea towel on the bench and rub them gently to remove the skins.
  • Place the peeled hazelnuts and all remaining ingredients into a blender, food processor or thermomix and blend on high speed until smooth.
  • Place in an air tight jar.
